The parish profile is a rich, detailed description of who we are as a parish — including our history, mission, membership, ministries, and aspirations for the future — along with the gifts we seek in our next rector. Written by the Search Committee and approved by the Vestry, the parish profile helps candidates get to know us and discern whether they feel called to enter the discernment process. Members of the Search Committee love to hear that there are great candidates out there, but won’t contact anyone until an application has been received. Instead, let the candidate know that the search is in process and ask them to consider submitting an application.

The integrity of the process requires confidentiality, and Search Committee members have been asked to keep all information about candidates in the strictest confidence. The Search Committee will communicate regularly with the parish and will share as much information as possible about the process.

Stay involved in worship, fellowship, and outreach at Christ Church.

The rector search timeline shows all of the steps in the process of calling a new rector. The committee will be working toward a goal of presenting a candidate to the Vestry in the first quarter of 2023, and our new rector would then likely start shortly thereafter. This may seem like a long time, but please remember that this is an important decision in the life of our parish that shouldn’t be rushed.
