There are so many ways for you to participate in worship. No matter your age, we would love to have you serve alongside us. Training is available for each ministry. Serve as a Verger
Vergers serve each Sunday, and their name comes from the Latin, virga, which literally means, "branch or staff." They hold this name because of the ceremonial staff that they carry. Although they no longer need this staff to fulfill their historical duty of holding back animals or enthusiastic crowds, they do play a crucial role in helping to keep everything running smoothly when we worship.
Host Coffee Hour
After our Sunday 9:30 a.m. service, we welcome parishioners to stay for fellowship. You can host coffee hour and be a part of this welcoming ministry! We provide the coffee and the set up each week. You simply bring some simple treats to share, and welcome fellow parishioners to an hour of fellowship.
Serve as an Acolyte
Acolytes are lay leaders that guide our movements as we worship together. They carry our cross, Gospel book, and our torches. They help us to focus our hearts and minds, reminding us of God’s movement in our lives.
Anyone can serve as an Acolyte, even if they have never done this before!

Serve as a Lector or Intercessor
Lead our parish in reading the appointed lessons from Scripture each week. Intercessors guide us as we pray for our own needs and those of our community.

Share the Chalice at Communion
These leaders assist the priest during Holy Communion by serving consecrated wine to those coming forward to receive Communion.
Sing with our Choir
There are multiple opportunities for you, or your family members, to participate in making a joyful noise at Christ Church! Even if you have not served in a choir before, there is a place for you here!
Become an Usher
These leaders welcome all our guests as they enter our worship space. They answer any questions and guide our visitors. Training is provided periodically for those who are interested in serving as an usher.

Serve on Altar Guild
These leaders prepare our worship space each Sunday, as well as for all special services and celebrations. They work as a collaborative team and support our clergy in worship.

These leaders are called to bring beauty to our weekly services by arranging floral pieces that accentuate the service and the season of the Church.

Serve as a Videographer
The ministry of our videographers began during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since that time, this group has helped to create innovative and thoughtful opportunities to expand our community’s connection with the world we have been called to serve. Our videographers operate our streaming system and cameras during regular Sunday services.
