Rummage is our largest outreach ministry, and is among the oldest and largest sales in the Chicagoland area. We offer 2 sales each year — our flagship sale in October, and our smaller summer sale in June. We sell everything from furniture to fur coats…hardware to holidays…computers to cookware.  With funds raised, we serve dozens of charitable organizations each year through our Benevolence Grants.

Our church community does benefit in other ways, though. Serving together to offer quality merchandise to those in need at affordable prices — and then to give proceeds away — deeply connects us in faith, service, fellowship and community.  Lifelong relationships are made while volunteering for Rummage. This is definitely not your average church rummage sale.

Benevolence Grants

Benevolence grants are awarded annually. The Benevolence Committee reviews grant requests before making recommendations to the Christ Church Vestry.

Shop

It’s fun to shop Rummage! When you shop, not only are you finding things at a great price, you are helping keep items out of the landfill, and you are helping others in need by enabling Rummage to fund our Benevolence grants.

All of the net proceeds from Christ Church Rummage sales are donated to non-profit organizations throughout the Chicagoland area. Click below to see a list of our grantees.

Volunteer

When you volunteer, you will serve those in need by helping them provide affordably for their families and raise money to fund grants to local nonprofits. You will also find fellowship and friendship. Join us.

I love rummage at Christ Church because of the long-lasting bonds that have grown from years of participating in this one-of-a-kind ministry. Strong friendships with fellow volunteers have developed easily while working together towards a common goal.
