Martin Luther King Day Celebration

  • Christ Church Chapel 470 Maple Street Winnetka, IL, 60093 United States (map)

On July 25, 1965, over 8,000 North Shore residents gathered on Winnetka’s Village Green for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s historic speech - the first of its kind, to an all-white suburb. Why Winnetka? What did King have to say that day?

Join Dr. Nathaniel Adishian, Bexley-Seabury faculty and Dr. King scholar, as he revisits this historical moment 60 years later. For more information, contact Rev. Cynthia at cynthia@christchurchwinnetka.org.  Register here.
