“Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ.” Ephesians 4:15

“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 2 Peter 3:18

Stewardship 2025

At Christ Church, this is the time of year when we reflect on what it means to be a steward of our church and our parish community, when we particularly recognize that everything we have  -- our time, talents, blessings, money, possessions, family, joys, sorrows, and our very lives -- comes from God.

It's also a time when we are asked to prayerfully consider how we are going to respond to God's generosity, in gratitude and thanksgiving, by returning to God a portion of the blessings that we have received.  This kind of giving is in fact not a financial practice -- it is a form of prayer.

As you reflect and pray about your pledge, we invite you to consider questions like these:

  • What blessings am I most grateful for in this life that God has given me?

  • What is the value of my relationship with God in my life?  Where does God fit into my priorities?

  • What does following Jesus really look like in my life?

  • What do I love about Christ Church?  What brings me joy?

  • How do I nurture and grow our parish to cultivate God's Kingdom?

The theme of this year's annual campaign is GROW IN LOVE.  By joining together in joyful thanksgiving to care for Christ Church, let us pray that we will Grow in Love  -- for our church, for one another, and for God.

Why Pledge?

A financial pledge is an act of faith, a gift of thanks, a means of returning to God a portion of what God has given us.  Our financial gifts can plant seeds of love that will grow.  We are asked to give the proportion of our financial worth that reflects our love of God and our commitment to God’s work, to Christ Church, and to our future together. And as we give more, we find that our love grows deeper and we become more like Christ.

  • With our collective pledge commitments, Christ Church will continue to provide new opportunities for adult formation, by bringing new voices from our faith to share their experiences with our parish community as guest preachers and guest teachers and help us all to Grow in Love.

  • With our collective pledge commitments, Christ Church will ensure our ability to provide pastoral care and clergy leadership across all our ministries by supporting three full-time clergy to preach and pray with our parish community as we Grow in Love and service to God.

  • With our collective pledge commitments, Christ Church will grow our ability to continue to provide joyful and prayerful worship opportunities where we can Grow in Love together as a faith community through liturgy, prayer, and song, led by our strong clergy and our outstanding choirs.

  • With our collective pledge commitments, Christ Church will minister to our children and youth, providing opportunities for them to connect and form friendships with other young people and support them as they Grow in Love, providing a firm faith foundation to help them navigate the challenges of growing up.

  • With our collective pledge commitments, Christ Church will be able to support our staff by providing fair and competitive salaries and by ensuring that we are appropriately staffed to be able to connect with and support one another and our community as we seek to Grow in Love and in our impact on the world in the name of Christ.

Pledging is a sign that you consider yourself a member of the Christ Church community and that you value the role Christ Church plays in your own faith journey.  We hope you’ll join us on our faith journey and Grow in Love with us!
