New Trier Food Pantry

The New Trier Township Food Pantry serves residents of New Trier Township (Wilmette, Kenilworth, Winnetka, Glencoe and portions of Glenview and Northfield) who could benefit from supplemental groceries, paper goods and hygiene items. Pantry clients are impacted by life’s unexpected challenges, including major illness, job loss or underemployment, family tragedy or divorce which make it difficult to cover all family expenses.

At Christ Church, we are spreading the light of Christ and supporting our neighbors through regular contributions to the Pantry of those items they need most to keep their shelves stocked.

We regularly collect items from the Pantry’s current list of most-needed items and deliver them to the pantry so they can distribute to their clients.

The pandemic has created more challenges for local residents, which has resulted in increased need. Christ Church continues to support the Pantry as they serve a larger number of clients.

You can still safely help support this important ministry during this time of increased need.

How you can help

  • Add items from the Pantry priority needs list to your regular shopping order

  • Create a special grocery delivery order and contact a committee member to arrange delivery to one of us

  • Make a donation to Christ Church and designate that it is for the “New Trier Township Food Pantry.”  We will shop for you!

* Please note that items should be “regular” grocery store sizes, not warehouse sizes, to make it easier for Pantry clients to manage and transport items.*

For more information, please contact the parish office. Thank you for helping Christ Church as we help the Pantry ensure that all our neighbors have enough to fill their own pantries.
