Threes, Junior Kindergarten, and Senior Kindergarten

In our Good Shepherd Atrium, our children meet from 9:30-10:10 on Sundays to learn together, sing, hear Bible stories, and respond to those stories through play.

The Good Shepherd Atrium: In this classroom, our preschool and kindergarten children begin to learn about the ways of Jesus. We provide a warm welcoming environment, helping children feel comfortable at church, and fostering friendships!

 First and Second Grade

Our first and second graders gather in their own sacred space, The True Vine Atrium, on Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:10. Here they develop Biblical literacy through singing, storytelling and creative work time.

The True Vine Atrium: Through Bible stories, the children learn about the history of God’s people and the life of Jesus. At the end of the year, first graders are presented with their very own bible in the Bible Presentation Ceremony. In The True Vine Atrium, the emphasis is on making friends, showing kindness, and following the ways of Jesus!

3rd and 4th Grade

Children’s Chapel meets on Sunday mornings from 9:30-10:10. Kids Connection is our monthly program for all 3rd and 4th graders to connect with faith and friends!

Children’s Chapel: Children learn the Episcopal liturgy and Gospel through stories based on the lectionary, as well as about the liturgical calendar and holidays. The Bible story is connected to the children’s lives by making a craft or doing an activity together. In Children’s Chapel, friendships are developed and, with the emphasis on the Gospel, the children learn to know the love of Jesus.

Kids Connection: On Sunday mornings, some of our 3rd and 4th graders are singing with the choir and some are in Children’s Chapel, so Kids Connection is offered as an opportunity for all of them to be together. The liturgical calendar provides the framework for our learning about the church seasons, holy days and saints, and the focus is on fun and activities! Kids Connection meets one Sunday a month at 4:00.
