 5th and 6th Grade

Club 56 is our pre-Confirmation program for 5th and 6th graders.

Everyone is welcome and we love it when Club 56 members bring their friends! Our main goal is making friends, learning about ourselves, and having fun. We play games, do crafts, hear Bible stories, and pray together.

Club 56 meets on Wednesdays from 4:00 to 4:50pm.

 7th & 8th Grade

Confirmation is a two year program for 7th and 8th graders designed to enable youth to:

  • build relationships with adults and peers.

  • consider questions of faith and how spirituality can be a support in their life.

  • explore the ways they make the world a better place.

Every 7th and 8th grader is part of a small group led by two faithful, fun, open-minded, and patient adult mentors. The program involves learning with and talks from our clergy, fun bonding time, and service projects. A service of Confirmation is usually offered at Christ Church each May for 8th graders. Additional information will be announced as the date approaches.

 Acolyte Program

Acolytes help our clergy at the Altar. They lead our services by processing with our cross, torches, and Gospel Book.

Anyone that is in 5th grade and up can serve as an Acolyte!

Acolyte roles:

  • Crucifer (one person): Leads our procession by carrying our cross, and also helps clergy with the distribution of Communion.

  • Gospel Bearer (one person): Carries our Gospel Book during procession, and gives and receives the offertory plates during the offertory.

  • Torches (two people): Carries our torches in procession, and ensures that our candles are lit for each service of worship.

To get on the schedule or join the acolyte team, contact our parish office.
